(4) Choose to download the video file on the desktop of the "save as box". Then remember to change the file name to ***.flv ；(*** can be any name you like, but the extension should be the one you want.)
If it's 3GP format, the file name is "videoplayback.3gp"
If it's MP4 format, the file name is "videoplayback.mp4"

Here, we use the "flv" format for example. Then click "Yes."

(5) Congratulations! In very short time, your favorite youtube video file has been downloaded on the desktop.


Don't know how to play the flv file - Click ME-(KMplayer).
Strongly recommend to use the "Bookmark download" method -- It can effectively slow down the Getv's loading burden.

(2) Getv lists some video information and provides you for several video formats you can download. Choose and click one format you need. A dialogue box will burst out. You can read it or just click "yes."

FLV format can be played or converted by KMplayer.(Download KMplayer)
3GP, MP4 are the formats for cellphone, iphone and ipad, etc.

Here we take the ".flv" format for example.


(3) After you've chosen a format and right-clicked the save(yellow) line, click "save as..." to download the video file.

There are two ways to use Getv. Both of them are very simple to do. One is the "direct download" method. It's the easiest way to download youtube videos but takes much load burden of Getv. The other is the "Bookmark download" method. It is more recommended because it's easy too and does not take any burden of Getv.

For Getv beginners, as this article will tell you, I suggest to use the "direct download" method since it's pretty easy to learn. If you're familiar with Getv now, the "Bookmark download" method is strongly suggested to use. (I don't want to kill Getv so quickly. Take me to the "Bookmark download" method now.)

Here we go for "direct download" method:
(1) Find a favorite youtube video and copy the link to Getv as the pic shows. Press "Getv" when you're ready. (Please add Getv to your bookmark first so that you can use it next time.)
